What is a real living wage?

The government have introduced a national living wage which increased to £7.83 for employees aged 25 or over.  The living wage foundation calculates a different figure and states that this is what actually reflects a true living wage.  The 2017/18 rates were £10.20 for London and £8.75 for elsewhere.

This is a useful guide to follow when considering minimum rates for employing staff in primary care.
