CCGs block Babylon’s expansion of GP at Hand to Birmingham on ‘safety grounds’

The digital revolution has been aided by the ability that patients who live out of area can register with a practice that offer such a service.  Now this concept is being tested nationwide.  Doubters state that this causes inequality with those being the living well opting for online service providers and the living unwell remaining with traditional practices.

The NHS app will partly address this issue by making all practices accessible online, but the manner in which consultations are conducted and how medical advice is imparted will continue to fuel this online revolution.
