Exempting practices from GDPR

If only. Actually the Government has ruled that practices will not be able to be exempt from the GDPR requirement affecting subject access requests. This effectively means that the practice may not charge for producing this information.

Invariably, it is solicitors who request this information and whilst they will continue to receive costs from courts, the practice has no right to claim for its expenses. This is a debate that is likely to continue.
