CCG’s have been briefed that they must get Primary Care Networks up and running by the end of June 2019. It is well known now that funding will only be accessible if a practice joins a Primary Care Network, which will be responsible for certain contracted funding.
Is this just another example of a carrot and stick approach? CCG’s are formed of constituent members who are the very practices that will form these networks. Why, therefore, has this approach not already been adopted? In truth, it will be the funding that makes it happen….
